The sessions will be held at operations near Seward and Bayard, Neb.

The Nebraska Sheep and Goat Producers, along with Nebraska Extension, are planning two sessions of a lambing and kidding school. The first session is scheduled for Jan. 30 in Seward, and a second session will be held Feb. 6 in Bayard.

These schools can be attended in person or virtually. The cost for the in-person event is $25 for non-NSGP members, $20 for members and $10 for students. The cost includes printed materials and lunch.

For virtual attendees, the cost is $15 for non-NSGP members and $10 for members.

Each clinic will include tours of producer operations, with some hands-on learning, along with a lineup of educational speakers to increase the knowledge base for the upcoming lambing and kidding seasons.

Once a producer registers for the event and location of their choice, they will receive a full agenda of the day’s activities. Register by emailing ne.sheep.goat@gmail.com, or call Melissa at 308-386-8378.

On Sept. 18-19, NSGP will host a goat AI clinic in North Platte. The annual NSGP conference and meeting is set for Oct. 18-19 in Norfolk.
