Ag industry scores at Texas Tech football game

<p>BASF celebrates "Ag Day," at the Sept. 7, 2019, football game with a tailgate party and&nbsp;a display in its foyer featuring Texas Tech items along with clothes made of cotton.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ag Texas&nbsp;personnel gave away&nbsp;free Ag Day&nbsp;t-shirts at their booth. 100 percent cotton, of course!</p>

<p>As fans made their way to the football stadium, agricultural equipment was staged throughout the area to give fans an up-close look at agricultural equipment.</p>

<p>From pulled pork to chicken and beef fajitas to jalapeno poppers, there was no shortage of good eats at the Ag Day tailgate parties. These brisket-stuffed poppers were grilled by caterer Gabriel Rodriguez at the Wylie Implement tent.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Cotton bales were on display and used as seats in the main tailgating area. Sitting on this bale are Brennon Huguley, son of Preston and Shelley Huguley, with Brody Langford, son of Brad and Meggan Scott, and Andrew Martinez, son of Valentine and Irene Martinez.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The National Pork Board serves&nbsp;pork to fans from&nbsp;Pork Checkoff’s We Care trailer.</p>

<p>Also on display, as fans entered the stadium was this John Deere 8270 R tractor. Nearly&nbsp;57,000 people attended the Saturday evening game.&nbsp;</p>
