EASY TEMPORARY STORAGE: GSI has launched an easier way for farmers and commercial operators to add storage space given the changing marketing patterns caused by a disrupted market. The company has simplified installation of its temporary storage systems, providing a cost-effective way to expand. The company is doing preassembly at the plant, so users just flip the legs out and rebolt the sections. This avoids the need for manually connecting the legs, which is time-consuming. The patented louvered wall panels provide optimum airflow to protect grain quality, and wall heights include 3.5 feet and 6 feet. Polypropylene pipe is easy to handle on-site and allows customization of airflow. A full line of tarps using an integrated strapping system provide security, and a Velcro rain flap gives added protection.
SELF-LEVELING LOADER FOR SMALL TRACTORS: John Deere is launching a mechanical self-leveling (MSL) loader option for small tractors. Designed to keep loads level throughout the lift, the loaders work with John Deere 1E, 1R, 2R and 3E compact utility tractors. Most compact tractors use a loader, and the company recognized the need for MSL technology for its smaller machines. With these loaders, the operator has increased stability for the materials being lifted, and the loaders reduce the potential for materials to fall back toward the tractor. In operation, all you do is push forward to lower and back to lift. The load automatically stays level throughout the range of motion, without any left-to-right adjustments with the loader joystick.
BOOSTING PRECISION: Last-season dry fertilizer and cover crop seeding can be a challenge. Agco is offering a drop tube kit for the RoGator AirMax Precision R1/R2 application system. This system expands the versatility of the applicator. With the drop tubes, the operator can place granular fertilizer between rows in-season to feed the crop; and the system puts material below the canopy, getting key nutrients where needed. The system also offers more convenient seeding options for cover crops. Learn more at applylikeapro.com.

NEW VF IMPLEMENT TIRES: There’s a new choice for implement tires with the launch of the Alliance Agriflex+ 881, a new all-steel VF (very-high-flexion) radial tire line for the heaviest towed agricultural implements. The tires are rated for road speeds up to 40 mph, and they broaden the line of VF tires offered by Alliance Tire America. The Agriflex+ line uses extremely flexible sidewall technology to improve the load-carrying capacity and reduce soil compaction. The new tire is available in three popular sizes — VF 295/74R22.5, VF 255/70R22.5 and VF 445/65R22.5 — and four more sizes are scheduled to be available soon. The Agriflex+ 881 has a cross-cutting rib-tread pattern, providing better traction on loose soil and spreading the load evenly to reduce compaction.
